The Hungry Caterpillar: #1

I want to just keep a record of the things that Joseph has eaten so far. We've been avoiding grains and proteins until he's six months old and have been sticking with pretty much plain fruits and vegetables. He will be six months old this weekend- I can't believe it!

  • Banana
  • Avocado
  • Apple- raw and baked
  • Squash (not sure what type!)
  • Red pepper
  • Lettuce- green and red
  • Tomato
  • Baked potato
  • Cucumber
  • Watercress
  • Courgette
  • Steamed carrot & broccoli

Joseph's favourites have been baked apple, banana, tomato and red pepper. He prefers the skins to be left on things and likes to suck the innards.

Joseph hasn't been given any purees, and I must say that I'm feeling increasingly comfortable with how much he is eating and I don't feel the need to bust out the Ella's Kitchen pouches that I have in my cupboard for 'just in case'.

As a bit of a heads up, I guess, I plan to write a diary post about how I have now stopped pumping breast milk for Joseph. There are so many feelings and emotions associated with it, which I'm struggling to articulate, but I do intend to publish something about it soon in case it's useful for anyone to read about it.

Have a great weekend! xx
